Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

This chocolate chip banana bread recipe is super easy and quick to make. It is moist and made in a loaf pan with simple ingredients available at your home. Once you start making at home you will never want to get this banana and choc chip bread from market ever.
Step 1 : Mash bananas
Take ripped bananas. The more ripped the sweeter they will taste. So if you have any ripped bananas at home don’t waste them just simple make this moist and delicious banana bread. Mash 2 ripped bananas with fork on masher until they are smooth.

Add sugar: Add 1/2 cup of sugar to the bananas and mix. You can use brown or granulated sugar whatever you like.

Step 2: Add wet ingredients
Add 1 egg, 1/3 cup melted butter, 1 tbsp of vanilla essence in the mashed bananas and mix them with whisk or beater.

Step 3: Combine the dry Ingredients
Combine All purpose flour 1+1/2 cup, Baking soda 1/4 teaspoon, Baking powder 1 tbsp, Salt 1/2 teaspoon or a pinch.
Last to add in this banana and chocolate chip loaf is 1/2 tbsp of cinnamon powder to give it a Delicious taste. Add the dry ingredients into wet ingredients and mix until they are well combined.

Step 4 : Add chocolate chips
Banana bread and chocolate chip always goes along. Add 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips into the mixture and mix again. Use semi sweet chocolate so that the cake does not get too sweet but gives a good chocolatey flavor in bites.

Step 5: Grease the pan
Line the baking pan with parchment paper . If you don’t have parchment paper grease it with butter and sprinkle some all purpose flour on it. Then dust the extra flour and you can add the cake batter.

Garnish the cake with some chocolate chips and walnuts. Walnuts in banana bread is the best combination as it gives a nutty texture to the bread. You can skip it if you don’t like it.

Step 6: Bake
Bake your cake at 180*C for about 50-55 minutes or until the skewer comes out clean.

Tip:
Do not check the oven again and again as cake will not rise. Check it after 50 minutes and if the skewer still has some batter on it bake the cake for extra 5-10 minutes as per your requirement. Also do not over-mix the batter. Just stop mixing once the batter is well combined.
Once the cake is done let the cake cool in the pan. Take out gently and cut it in slices. This is going to be the best banana bread recipe you have tried!

- 2 Bananas (Should be ripped)
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar (you can also use brown sugar instead)
- 1 Egg
- 1/3 cup Melted Butter (unsalted)
- 1 tbsp Vanilla essence
- 1/2 tbsp Cinnamon Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 tbsp Baking Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Baking Soda (or a pinch)
- 1+1/2 cups All purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Chocolate chips semi sweet (you can add chocolate chunks)
- 1/3 cup Walnuts (handful)
