Make dahi baray or dahi bhallay this Ramzan with mash and moong daal. Super soft and extremely delicious. Easy to make and you an easily freeze this upto one month.

Ingredients:

  • Maash daal 1/2 cup
  • Moong daal 1/3 cup
  • Chick pea flour/ besan 3 tbsp
  • Salt 1 tbsp to to taste
  • Cushed Red Chilli 1tbsp
  • Black pepper 1tbsp
  • Baking Soda 1 pinch
  • Yogurt for lassi 3-4 tbsp with 1/2 cup water
  • Yogurt 1/3 cup
  • Tomato
  • Onion
  • Chaat Masala
  • Imli ke chatni

Method:

Soak Daal:

Soak maash and moong daal overnight and grind it into a thick paste by adding little water.

Add spices:

Add salt , crushed red chilli , black pepper and soda. Mix it.

Fry Them:

Fry them on medium flame until golden brown and directly soak them in water for about 10 minutes.

Squeeze the water from them and add them in a bowl. Add lassi on it and let it soak it.

Add Toppings:

Then add topping of your choice along with thick yogurt, chaat masala and imli ke chatni.

If you want to freeze the bhalay , fry them and do not add them in water. Take them out and let them cool. Then put them in a bag and freeze.

If you want to make bhallay with besan then add 3 tbsp of besan in the same batter that we made.
